Gertrude Breidenbach PALMYRA — Mrs. Gertrude Breidenbach (nee Bunsa), 81, died
Sunday at the Countryside Home in Jefferson, where she had lived the past two
years. She was born in Palmyra and graduated from the Palmyra High School in
1909. She taught at the Bird School south of the village and later at Sullivan.
She married Bernard Breidenbach in Eagle in 1917. He died in 1989. Mrs.
Breidenbach was a member of St, Mary's Catholic Church of Palmyra and of its
Altar Society. She is survived by son, Donald, of Palmyra. Funeral services will
be at St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Jerome Mersberber
officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time of services. The
rosary will be recited at the Smith Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will
be at the church cemetery.
