TH. BEAN, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph; was born in Switzerland in 1840, and, in 1853, with his parents emigrated to the United States and settled at Sheboygan, Wis. In 1857, he entered the seminary of St. Francis at Milwaukee, and was ordained as priest on the 2d day of February, 1865, and soon went to Richland County, and resided at what is now Keysville, having charge of fifteen different missions, seven of which were in Richland County, five in Sauk County, one in Crawford, and one in Juneau, for six years, when the missions were divided so that he had charge of seven missions for about seven years, after, which, in 1878, he removed to Buffalo County, and resided at Waumandee, where he took charge of St. Bonifice for two years, when he came to La Crosse County and took charge of St. Joseph Church, and one mission in the town of Washington.
