CUTLER, better known to the people of this and Juneau counties, by the popular name of Fred CUTLER, died at Mauston on Tuesday last after a brief illness, from Bright's Disease. He was in his 61st year of age. Mr. CUTLER came to Wisconsin in 1855 and settled at Germantown. On the organization of Juneau county in 1857, he was elected clerk of the County Board of Supervisors, and held that office and that of County Clerk in which it afterward became merged, continuously, until January 1889. At the last election he was elected County Treasurer. He was a popular official, honest and efficient in the discharge of every duty. In his social relations he was a most genial friend and companion, a favorite with all. An only sister survives him, residing in Hartford, Connecticut, to which place the remains were taken for burial. He was a Knight Templar and the Masonic order took charge of the ceremonies at Mauston.
