While yet a child she removed with her parents to Wisconsin, where she resided until 1878,when she went to Mitchell County, Iowa. May 1, 1878, she was married to Mr. Jacob HORNER, and after a short residence at Mitchell, removed with him to Nora Springs, Iowa, where they resided until going to Northwood, 14 years ago. She was stricken with stomach trouble during the summer of 1898, and was under the care of her physician almost constantly from that time until her death February 28, 1899, at 5 o'clock a.m. In the year 1889, during the pastorate of Rev. DeWitt Clinton, she united with the M. E. church, and has ever since been a consistent Christian. Mrs. HORNER was a daughter of the late Grandpa SMITH and a sister of Mrs. Jeff T. HEATH. The funeral was held Friday afternoon March 3, from the home of Mr. and Mrs. HEATH, Rev. H. Benson conducting the services
