BAKER, attorney; born in Owasco, Cayuga Co., N. Y., Aug. 26, 1839; came with his parents to this county in 1840; his father located in Paris Township, Section 13, and died there in 1856. Myron commenced reading law in 1859, with E. W. Evans, and was admitted to the bar in 1861. He enlisted in Co. G, 1st Wis. V. I., and was probably the third man who enlisted in the State; he served three months, and, returning, entered upon the practice of his profession in the spring of 1862. Mr. Baker and his partner, Mr. Warvelle, are City Attorneys, and Mr. Baker is now serving his third term as District Attorney; he has been Justice of the Peace and was Court Commissioner for eight or ten years.
