BLOOD, carpenter; born in Salina, N. Y., in 1841; his father settled in Kenosha, in 1856, and engaged in farming. Charles learned the trade of carpenter and joiner. Enlisted in April, 1861, in the 1st W. V. I., for the three months' service, participating with the regiment in some skirmishes; returning to Kenosha, he resumed his former occupation of carpenter and builder; was member of Kenosha Rifles; member of the fire company, is also member of and Past Master of Kenosha Lodge, F. and A. M.; held office of City Assessor. Married, in 1871, Miss Josephine Herrick; native of Wisconsin. Have three children living.
