W. R. R.; born in Ohio in 1829; came to Wisconsin in 1847; located at Kenosha, where he was engaged in building bridges; in 1865, was appointed foreman carpenter for the N. W. R. R., continuing till 1877, when he received the position of Superintendent of Buildings and Bridges. Married, in 1853, Miss Susan Newberry, a native of Michigan; they have had five boys, two still living. Republican.
