Author: Western Historical Society (1879)

    FRED GOTTFREDSEN, of the firm of J. G. Gottfredsen & Son, general store and
brewery; born April 13, 1857, at Kenosha; he received his early education at the
Lake Forest Academy and the Northwestern University at Watertown; in 1876,
returned to Kenosha and clerked for his father for two years; in 1879, was
admitted into the firm. He is a member of the Episcopal Church and a Republican
in politics.
