He spent three years in study in the German hospitals, and is a graduate of the Chicago Medical College and of the Chicago Eye and Ear College. He married, at Manton, on the 1st of January, 1877, Laura J. Webster, a native of Baltimore, Md.; they have one son-William D. They are members of the M. E. Church.
