STARKWEATHER, druggist; born in the town of Galway, Saratoga Co., N. Y., May 21, 1813; came to Wisconsin in October, 1847, locating at Kenosha (then Southport), where he engaged in the drug business; was also engaged in farming for a number of years. He practiced medicine and surgery in the east, having received his education at Geneva College, New York. Married on Sept. 12, 1838, Miss Mary Bailey, a native of Orleans Co., N. Y. They have had three children, one boy and two girls. He has held the offices of Alderman, School Commissioner and Supervisor. Family are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church; Republican.
