Kenosha Telegraph - March 25, 1887
Mrs. Mary Knight, wife of Mr. Joseph Knight, of Chicago, and eldest daughter of 
Mr. John Rategan, of Pleasant Prairie, died in her home in Chicago, March 16, aged 
42 years, of consumption of the bowels. Mrs. Knight was well known in Kenosha and 
vicinity. Her sickness was of very short duration, being confined to her bed only 
a little more than one day. Her remains were brought here for interment on Friday. 
Her husband and parents have the sympathy of their friends in their bereavement.
