IS WELL KNOWN HERE Frank O’Hare, aged thirty-one years, a son of Mrs. Mary O’Hare of this city and formerly a resident of Kenosha, was instantly killed late Saturday afternoon at Waukegan when he was pinned under a falling crane while working at the plant of the Waukegan Gas company. The crane struck O’Hare on the head crushing his skull and killing him instantly. Fellow laborers frantically worked to reach him in the hopes that he might still be alive but when they reached the body he was dead. O’Hare with a number of other men was working to extricate from a pit a large crane which had fallen there several weeks ago. The Kenoshan was on his hands and knees placing a wooden block under one side of the crane when the entire weight slipped and caught him under it. Struck by a Timber. O’Hare was hit in the head by a heavy timber which slipped from beneath the opposite side of the crane and it is believed that this blow killed him instantly. He was also caught beneath the crane. The inquest into the death was held on Sunday afternoon by the coroner of Lake county with a view of establishing liability for it if there was any. Indications were, however, that all ordinary precautions had been taken and that the death was entirely accidental. The deceased, while he had not actually lived in Kenosha for several years, was very well known here. He was the son of Mrs. Mary O’Hare, widow of the late William O’Hare, whose home was at 701 Fleet street, but who has in recent months been making her home with her daughter in Milwaukee. He was educated in Kenosha and has many friends here to mourn his untimely death. Funeral Here Tuesday. The remains were brought to Kenosha on Sunday and taken to the Crossin Chapel from which the funeral services will start on Tuesday morning. The church services will be held at nine o’clock Tuesday morning at the St. Thomas church after which interment will be made in the family plot in the St. James cemetery. Surviving the deceased are his mother, Mrs. Mary O’Hare, now of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. John J. Stanton, of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Ella Clay of Kenosha, and four brothers, John and Edward O’Hare of Detroit; Robert O’Hare of New York City, and Martin O’Hare of Kenosha.
