Woman Well Known in County Dies
Widow of the Late Thomas O’Hare, Pleasant Prairie, Called by Death

     Mrs. Mary O’Hare, aged seventy-six years, widow of the late Thomas 
O’Hare, died at her home, 909 59th street Friday evening, following a long 
illness. Mrs. Mary O’Hare was born in Cedarburg, Wis., June 28, 1850, the 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George [should be John] McGill. She moved to 
Pleasant Prairie Township, Kenosha, County with her parents, as a child, and 
has spent the greater part of her life in that community.
     Mrs. O’Hare was one of the best known women in Kenosha County, and was 
actively interested in the welfare of her community until a few years ago. At 
the time of her death she was a member of St. James church.
     Her husband, Thomas O’Hare, preceded her in death, June 9, 1919.
     She is survived by four sons and three daughters: John Padden, Milwaukee; 
Henry Padden, De Kalb, Ill.; James O’Hare and George O’Hare, Pleasant Prairie; 
Mrs. Margaret Williams, Chicago; Mrs. Sadie Laufman [should be Kaufman] and 
Mrs. Ella Roberts, Kenosha. There are also twelve grandchildren and five great 
grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Rose Farrell, resides in Kenosha.
     Mrs. O’Hare will be taken to her home this afternoon where she will 
remain until the time of the services on Monday. Funeral services will be held 
Monday morning at 9 o’clock, from St. James church, interment following at the 
family plot in St. James cemetery.
