This morning at ten o’clock the funeral services of Frank Rogan, a pioneer resident of the town of Pleasant Prairie, were held at the St. Thomas church, where requiem high mass was sung over the remains. The body was carried to its last resting place in the St. James cemetery by six sons of the deceased where final honors were paid to the memory of the dead. Frank Rogan, aged 78 years, a prominent resident of Antioch, Lake county, Ill., formerly of Pleasant Prairie, Kenosha county, Wis., died September 8th at o’clock a. m. after a long illness which he bore patiently until the final summons came to end his long suffering. The deceased was born October 24, 1852 in the town of Pleasant Prairie, and was married to Marcella Rafferty, a daughter of James and Mary Rafferty, town of Pleasant Prairie, April 2, 1877. To this union nine children were born, namely James of Kenosha, William of Racine, Charles A., Libertyville, Elmer of North Chicago, Joe and Leo of Antioch, Mrs. Joe McKay and Mrs. Victor A. Stark, of Chicago, and Frank Jr., deceased Mr. Rogan was a prominent farmer and had a large circle of close personal friends. He was a man of noble qualities, his smiling ccontenance [sic] and cheerful disposition greatly endeared him to his friends who will find in his death a personal sorrow. His immediate family was at his bedside at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow and eight children; also two brothers, Michael of Kenosha, Hugh of Chicago; also three sisters, Sarah Matchet of Spokane, Washington, Lyda Davlin of Chicago, and Mary McCann of Gurnee, Illinois.
