Marriage of Miss Ida Rafferty and Wm. B. Riley at St. James Church. The first wedding of the autumn took place at St. James Church at half past eight o’clock this morning when Miss Ida Rafferty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Rafferty became the bride of William B. Riley. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. S. Smith in the presence of a large company of invited guests. The bride wore a wedding gown of white and carried a shower of roses and lillies [sic] of the valley. She was attended by Miss Alma Calahan, as maid of honor and by Miss Bessie Riley as bridesmaid. The groom was attened [sic] by William O’Brien and Hugh Rafferty. The ushers were Harvey Bain and Wendolin Fonk. A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride on Prairie avenue and covers were laid for thirty guests, all relatives and close friends of the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Riley will spend their honeymoon at the Wisconsin Dells and will be at home to their friends after November 1st at 32 North Howland avenue.
