O. Mindoro; born in the town of Camilus, State of New York, February, 1816. He removed thence to Genessee County with his parents; thence to Chautauqua County. Married Miss Clarissa Loomis. They removed to Recine Co., Wis., in the fall of 1846; thence to Elkhorn, Walworth Co., where they lived about seven years. Mr. Angel was there engaged in carpentry. Came to what is now the city of La Crosse, June, 1851, where he worked during the summer, and where he removed his family in the fall of that year. He went to Trempealeau, February, 1852, where he built a warehouse. This was the first warehouse built between Galena and St. Paul. In November of that year, he came to Lewis Valley, which has since been his home, but has been engaged at various points in this and adjoining counties, in building. He put up some of the earliest principle buildings in the city of La Crosse. His wife died January, 1862. His present wife was Mrs. Laura E. Farwell.
