O. Half-Way Creek; was born in Sweden, 1822; came to Wisconsin in 1854; bought 160 acres of land, made the improvements, went to California in 1873, and returned in 1879. His wife, Anna Anderson, was born in Sweden, 1821. They were married in 1838, and have had eleven children, four living - Gustavus W., who enlisted in Co. G, 44th W. V. I., in 1865, and was discharged September, 1865; Ida, Carrie, Emma, in California. In politics, Republican, and in religion, a Lutheran.
