BRISTOW, blacksmith, Rose street, North La Crosse, has worked at his trade in the city since May, 1859, and has been in North La Crosse since 1872. He was born in Upper Canada in 1833; son of Edward Bristow who is still living in Canada. Mr. Bristow went to Michigan in 1851, learned his trade there, went to St. Paul, Minn., in the fall of 1856, and came from there to La Crosse in 1859. He was married in 1866, in La Crosse, to Eliza Brackett and has seven children - Alice A., Jessie L. Hattie B., Fannie M., William H., John, and an infant not named.
