He settled in Sec. 5, where he built the first house in that part of the valley. In the fall of 1855, he settled on a farm in Sec. 17; this farm he still owns. He removed to the village of Bangor, September, 1876. His wife was Miss Rhoda Ann Heath; born in Lower Canada, at the time of their marriage, living in the State of Connecticut. They have nine children, eight sons and one daughter - George, Wallace, Fremont, Aaron, Charles, Grant, William, Freddie. Their daughter, Mary, is now Mrs. Sturdevant.
