D. EDWARDS, Station Agent for the C. & N. W. R. R. Co., at Rockland; born in North Wales in 1822; his parents died in Wales; he came to the United States in 1850; came to Milwaukee, and thence to Waukesha Co., where he was engaged as teacher in the Nashotah Episcopal College for three years; thence to Cambria, Columbia Co., where he engaged in teaching; afterward engaged in farming. He removed to Monroe Co. in 1861, where he engaged in teaching and farming; settled in the town of Burns in the spring of 1875; has been Station Agent since July, 1878. He married Jane Hughes, and has three children - Samuel D., B. F., an operator at Summit, and Jane.
