EHMAN, saloon-keeper on South Third street, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1854. His father, August Ehman, was a locksmith, and came from Silesia, Prussia, to the United States in 1844; lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, till 1859; then in Detroit, Mich., till 1865, and since that has resided in La Crosse. Charles W. was educated in Detroit, and came to La Crosse with his parents; was engaged in clerking till summer of 1879, and since that has been in his present business.
