J. P. EVANS, Pastor of Congregational Church, Bangor; born in South Wales in 1842. He graduated at Bala College in 1866; came to the United States in 1867; was engaged in preaching at Plymouth, Penn., for about two years, organizing several churches in Luzerne Co. He entered the Theological Department of Yale College in 1869, graduating in the class of 1873. His first charge after graduating, was at Portland, Me., where he remained four years. Came to Wisconsin in 1877. Took charge of a church at Cambria, Columbia Co. Became Pastor of the Congregational Church at Bangor, September, 1879.
