O. C. HALS, druggist; was born in 1849, in Norway, about twenty miles from 
Christiania; son of Dr. Frederick E. Hals. He was educated at the University 
of Christiania, graduating in 1872; came to America in 1873, and has been in 
La Crosse ever since, except fifteen months in Albert Lea, Minn. He is now 
located on Pearl street, where he started business for himself, in January, 
1881.
