K. HANSEN, farmer, Sec. 12; P. O. Holmen; born in Norway, June 23, 1827; came to Wisconsin in 1841, settled in Milwaukee, then to Walworth Co., then in the woods to work; then in 1855 he came to La Crosse Co., Wis., bought 80 acres of land, and made the improvements. His wife was Caroline Anderson, born in Norway, April, 1820, and came to America in the year 1851; they were married in 1857; they have four children - Carl L., Daniel A., Marlian A. and Peter T.
