O. Holmen; was born in Norway, Sept. 24, 1826; came to Wisconsin in 1856, and bought 60 acres of land, now owns 460 acres, with splendid improvements. He was a poor man when he came to America, and has made it all by his own industry. His wife was Sarah Fridricks, and was born in Norway in 1836; they married in 1858, and have seven children - Hans, Oluf, Rendena, Mary, Oscar, Malin and Friderick.
