I. C. HERITAGE, harness-maker, West Salem; born in New Jersey Jan. 28, 1838. 
He learned his trade at New London, Conn. He came to Wisconsin in May, 1857, 
and located at Edgerton, Rock Co., where he carried on the business of harness-
making. He came to West Salem, December, 1865, where he has since been engaged 
in business. His wife was Miss Amelia Dare, born in New Jersey. They have one 
son, Ellsworth, born in 1861.
