HIRSHHEIMER, proprietor of the La Crosse Foundry, on Third street, came to La Crosse with his parents in 1855, and has resided here ever since. His father, Louis Hirschheimer, came from Germany to the United States in 1850, on a sailing vessel; started May 7, and arrived in New York City on the 4th of July following. He lived in Indiana Co., Penn., previous to coming to La Crosse. Mr. H. has been engaged in the foundry business since April 1, 1865. He was married, Oct. 15, 1876, to Miss Bertha, daughter of Henry Abraham, of Milwaukee, and has two children - Hattie and Louis.
