O. Bangor; is a representative of one of the earliest settlers of the State of Wisconsin. He was born in the town of Suffield, Ohio, Oct. 17, 1828. His parents were Ira and Elizabeth Hulbert. His father was born in Connecticut; his mother was a native of Vermont. His father went to Ohio in 1812; his mother, with her parents emigrated to that State the same year. They were married in Ohio, and emigrated to Wisconsin, April 18, 1835, landing at Root River Rapids, near the present city of Racine. His parents resided in Racine County till their death. Father died Nov. 26, 1846; mother died Aug. 3, 1856. Parents had seven children, five sons and two daughters; five children still living, two of whom, Hiram and Velura F., reside in California; Spencer, Ira and Cephas in La Crosse County. Spencer came to La Crosse County, in 1854; Ira, in 1855, and Cephas, in 1863. Ira went to California, in 1850; Spencer, in 1852, and Cephas, in 1853. While in California, were engaged in farming, mining, etc. Ira returned to Racine County with Cephas, in 1855, and to La Crosse County, Nov. 6, of the same year, and settled where he now lives. He was married to E. Jane Cram, born in Vermont. She came to La Crosse County with her parents, in 1856. They have four children - Clara, now Mrs. John T. Bradley; Frank A., Azro I. and Lilly E.
