DOMINIC JEHLEN, proprietor of the city meat market, No. 41 Third street, was 
born in Strasbourg, France, in 1825, came to America in 1849, was six months 
in New Orleans, La., six months in Cincinnati, Ohio, then lived in Waukegan, 
Ill., till 1852, since which time he has resided in La Crosse. He was married 
in Waukegan, Ill., in 1852, to Anna Faas and has eight children, as follows: 
Charles, Louis, Mary, Emma, Josephine, Dominic, Lenhardt and Patti.
