JOHNSON, farmer; P. O. La Crosse; was born in Vermont, 1835; in 1853, he removed to Galena, Ill., where he engaged in gardening for about six years, when he removed to La Crosse and followed the same business, and also dealt in produce for about six years, after which he gave his attention to farming and dairying, selling milk at La Crosse for three years; he is now engaged in farming and stock-raising; now owns 120 acres of land in Secs. 10 and 15. In 1864, he was married to Addie Tripp, daughter of H. A. and Mary Tripp, born in Trimbull Co., Ohio, 1844.
