O. Bangor; he and family are among the earliest settlers of the town of Bangor. He was born in Wales in 1804; went to Canada about 1842, leaving his family in Wales. About 1845, he returned to his native land and brought over his children, four sons, his wife having died during his absence. In August, 1853, he emigrated to La Crosse County and settled on Section 5 in the town of Bangor, where he still resides, hale and hearty, at the ripe age of 77 years. His four sons by his first marriage were all born in Wales, and are all prominent farmers of La Crosse County; has one daughter by his present wife.
