B. LAFLIN, M.D., is a native of Jamestown, Chautauqua Co., N. Y.; born in 1834. His father, Eliakim Laflin, came West in 1844, and settled in Rock Island, Ill., and from there to Houston Co., Minn., where he died in 1859 at the age of 59. Dr. Laflin first studied medicine in St. Louis, Mo., graduating from Pope's Medical College in 1861, and is also a graduate of Bennett's Medical College of Chicago. He commenced practice in Sterling, Ill., but removed to Caledonia, Minn., in 1862, where he practiced till 1870, then returned to Illinois and practiced three years in Du Bois, coming from there to La Crossse in 1873, where he still remains.
