ALEX MORAN, Principal of High School, Onalaska; born at Brooklyn, N. Y., Sept. 
17, 1847; came to Wisconsin in 1856, with his parents; attended State Normal 
School, at River Falls, Wis., was there in 1875 and 1876, took charge of the 
school in this place in 1878. His wife was Tanzin Saunders, born at Green Bay, 
Wis., July 8, 1858. They were married in 1878. Has been Town Clerk, President 
and Secretary of the County Teachers' Association, member of A., F. & A. M., 
also A. & R. A. M., and member of the La Crosse Light Guards.
