In 1855, he returned to Luxemburg and was married there to Miss Lucy Kiefer, and again came to America after spending about a year in Europe. He has since that resided in La Crosse; is one of the present Aldermen of the Third Ward, and was one year Alderman of the Second Ward. He has four children - Mary, Susan, Philopena and Bretta.
