S. THARESON, farmer, Section 2; P. O. Half-Way Creek; born in Sweden August, 
1833; came to Wisconsin in 1854; now owns 120 acres, well improved, with good 
house and barn. His wife, Martha M. Oleson, was born in Norway, October, 1843; 
came to America, 1867; married, 1868; they have five children - Charles L., 
Joseph T., Alfred B., Hulda S., Selna P. Has been School Clerk; a Republican 
and Lutheran; he enlisted in the La Crosse Light Artillery in 1864, was 
discharged 1865.
