JOHN TOMPSON, farmer, Section 25; P. O. Holmen; was born in Norway, Oct. 3, 
1823; came to America in 1857; owns 280 acres of land, on which he has made 
the improvements, and all by his own industry. His wife, Johanna Olson, was 
born in Norway on Feb. 1, 1825; they were married in 1851, and had three 
children - Christina (deceased), Oluf T., Christina.
