D., residence and office corner of Sixth and Main streets; has been practicing medicine in La Crosse since 1865. He was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, Aug. 22, 1808; graduated in 1831 from the University of Tubingen, and practiced medicine in Torrweil from 1832 to 1851, when he came to America, and practiced in New York City fourteen years. In 1865, he came to Wisconsin, and practiced in La Crosse till 1868; then went to Indianapolis, Ind., where he remained till 1878; then returned to La Crosse, and has practiced here since. His first wife, to whom he was married in Germany, died in Indianapolis in 1870. He there married, in 1872, Miss Emma, daughter of Charles Beyslachag, formerly editor and proprietor of the "Ulmer Donan Zeitung", of Ulm, Germany, and at that time editor of the "Indianapolis Telegraph".
