P. WALCOTT, book-keeper; has been a resident of La Crosse since 1873. He is a native of Utica, N. Y.; born in 1844. In June, 1862, he enlisted in the 2d Squadron R. I. V. C., and served three months; enlisted again in December, 1862, in the 26th N. Y. Battery, and was in the Department of the Gulf, at New Orleans, one year and nine months. He was then transferred to the 8th N. Y. Heavy Artillery, with a Second Lieutenant's commission.
