WILLIAMS, farmer, Sec. 11; P. O. Bangor; born in Wales. He came to the United States with his parents, David J. and Sarah Williams, in 1850, and settled in Waukesha Co. The family came to La Crosse Co. in 1851, and settled in the town of Bangor, in Fish Creek Valley, and was the first family that settled in this valley. The family removed to California in 1868, where the father died in May, 1875. Richard D. returned from California in 1869, and settled where he now lives, on Sec. 11. His mother returned in 1878, and now resides in the town of Bangor. The others are still on the Pacific coast. The parents of Richard D. had ten children. His wife is Catharine, daughter of Edward R.
