D. ZIMMERMAN, head miller for A. A. Freeman & Co.; is a native of Baden, Germany; born in 1851; son of Augustus Zimmerman; came to America in 1864; learned his trade in Rochester, N. Y., and remained there till 1874. He then went to Minneapolis, Minn., and was in the old Washburn A. Mill, and Pittsburg Mill, and afterward had charge of the Union Mill three years.
