Num. 43 LOUIS J. ALBRECHT Louis J. Albrecht was born in Germany August 15, 1849 and came to this city November 1, 1886. He died at the home of his daughter at Barnard, Mo., on July 17th following a two day sickness, caused from heart disease. He was married October 27, 1873, in Germany to Wilhelmina Beuring. To this union was born five children, three of whom died in Germany. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Louis Otto of this city and Mrs. C. J. Vance of Barnard, Mo., nine grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. J. Timm of Detroit, Mich. His wife died during the past spring. The funeral was held from the home of Louis Otto in this city Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and from the German Lutheran church at 2:30. Rev. Julius Bergholz officiated and Undertaker A. E. Smith was in charge. Interment was made in the Onalaska cemetery. The pallbearers were Wm. Gilster, Louis Krenz, Albert Lemke, F. Holthaus , Jr., Fred Miller and August Pralle. We join in extending sympathy to the bereaved family. Listed in the previous week's paper [July 19, 1917] was this announcement: Louis Albrecht died suddenly at the home of his daughter at Barnard, Missouri on Monday or Tuesday of this week. Particulars are lacking at this time but the body is expected here this Thursday evening and interment will probably be made on Friday. Mr. Albrecht went to Missouri about a month ago to live with his daughter, Mrs. C. J. Vance and appeared to be as well as usual at that time. We will print the obituary next week.
