Johnson ebjohnso@facstaff.wisc.edu 11:35 10/23/1999 ************************************************************************ La Crosse County Record Vol.XXVIII Onalaska, Wisconsin, Thursday Aug. 28, 1913 Num. 48 Herman Buhring Dead After and illness of several months with brights disease, Herman Buhring passed quietly away at his home in this city Monday morning, following a restful nights sleep. He has been unable to work for sometime and for the past several weeks has been confined at his home. Deceased leaves besides his wife, one son William at home and one daughter, Mrs. Peter Hendrikson, also of this city and two sisters Mrs. Louis Albrecht and Mrs. Otto Struck of this city and two brothers, Helmuth of this city and Fred of Cataract. He also leaves two sisters and one brother in Germany. He was born in Germany 63 years ago and came to this country about 30 years ago. He has made his home in this city nearly all the time since and has been employed in the saw mills and for the railroads up to the time of his late illness. Mr. Buhring was a man highly respected by his many friends here and the family has the united sympathy of this community in their bereavement. The funeral was held this Thursday afternoon from the German Lutheran church, Rev. J. Bergholz officiating and undertaker A.E. Smith in charge. Interment was made in the Onalaska cemetery.
