She was married in 1879 to Otto Struck and to this union five children were born. Mrs. Louisa Struck passed away last Thursday morning at about ten o'clock, death being caused from heart failure. She was at home alone when death came, her brother, Helmuth Buhring, having gone to work that morning after seeing her carefully attended to. During the past twenty years she has been a constant sufferer from rheumatism, but it has been only during the past six years that she has been confined to her home. Mrs. Struck was a charter member of the Onalaska German Lutheran church, a kindly friend and neighbor and a loving mother. With all her suffering she always appeared happy and cheerful, with a kind word for everyone. Her husband died in 1890. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, as follows: Mrs. Louise Comeau of La Crosse, Mrs. Elsie Vanderwater of Yakima, Wash., Ernest of Cazenovia, and Louis of Merrill. The other son, Otto, died in the fall of 1918, while serving with the U. S. army in England. She is also survived by two brothers, Helmuth and Fritz Buhring, both of this city. Funeral services were held from the home last Sunday afternoon at two o'clock and from the German Lutheran church at 2:30. Rev. J. Bergholz officiated and Undertaker A. E. Smith was in charge. Interment was make in the Onalaska cemetery. The pall bearers were Fred and Henry Holthaus, August and Herman Pralle, William Gilster and Louis Krenz.
