Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Onalaska Methodist Church. Rev. Roger Gustafson will officiate. Burial will be in the Onalaska Cemetery. Friends may call at Smith Mortuary in Galesville after 5 p.m. Monday and at the church from noon Tuesday. He was born to Mr. & Mrs. Henry Jonas (Laura Ann West) Harnisch March 31, 1921 in La Crosse. He married Margaret Jane Schleifer in 1942. He was a real estate dealer and auctioneer until he was forced into retirement due to illness. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Order of Easter Star, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and a young brother, Willis James Harnisch. Surviving are his widow; three sons, James Le Roy Harnisch of Rock Falls, Wis., David Henry Harnisch and Thomas William Harnisch of Galesville; three sisters, Mrs. Merlin Westlie of Galesville, Mrs. Robert Guenther and Mrs. George Tabbert of Onalaska, and a brother, Harold of LaCrescent.
