Willis was found dead when his mother called him for school Thursday morning, February 3. He had suffered a convulsion a month ago but after two days absence from school, returned to his classes and apprently was in good health. He had been an honor student during most of his school years. He was active in all sports and especially enjoyed playing pinochle, taking pictures, and listening to all radio programs. He was well posted on current affairs. The high school trio, composed of Doris Markey, Jeanine Stuhr and Carol Skogen, sang, "In The Garden" and "He Walks With Me", accompanied by Miss Gwen Borman, Mrs. Ben Sias was pianist for the prelude and postlude of music. Flower girls were Patricia Gile, Ruth Bezpaletz, Doris Severson, Joan Schmidt and Carol Marcus. Serving as pall bearers were William Otto, Jr., Louis (Bud) Mahlum, Harley Jones, John Schuppel and Robert Schleifer. The church was filled, including his classmates, who were seated in a group.
