She had been a resident of Galesville, living in the home of her son, Le Roy Westly (Margaret Schleifer) Harnisch and their sons, James Le Roy Harnisch, Thomas William Harnisch, and David Henry Harnisch, and lived in Onalaska previous to that time. The former Laura Ann West, she was born January 10, 1898, in Holmen, Wis. to Mr. and Mrs. Nathan West. She was married to Henry Jonas Harnisch on January 29, 1919. Her husband preceded her in death on September 9, 1959. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Onalaska. Surviving are: Two sons, Le Roy (Margaret Schleifer) Harnisch, Galesville, Harold (Marilyn Diekreger)Harnisch, La Crescent; three daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Laura) Westlie, Galesville; Mrs. Robert (Edna) Guenther, Onalaska, and Mr. George (Estalla) Tabbert, Onalaska; eleven grandchildren, and a brother, Martin Hicks, West Salem. A son, Willis James, and three brothers have died. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2p.m. at the Smith Mortuary, the Rev.Roger Gustafson, Onalaska, officiating. Burial will be in the Onalaska Cemetery.
