SCHLEIFER ONALASKA, Wis. -- Services for Raymond E. Schleifer,who passed away February 1, 1992, at 84, of 314 Eighth Ave. N., will be Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Onalaska. The Rev. Arthur Schulz will officiate. Burial will be in the Onalaska Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fossum Funeral Home, Onalaska, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the services. He was born on June 15, 1899 in Mindoro to Theodore and Hattie (Amborn) Schleifer. He married Katherine I. Bottjer on Dec. 25, 1922, in Sparta. Schleifer farmed in the Mindoro and Burr Oak areas prior to moving to Onalaska in 1948. He then was employed at Badger Corrugating Co. in La Crosse until his retirement in 1964. Survivors are his wife, Katherine (Bottjer) Schleifer, three sons, Lyle of Janesville, Raymond of South Beloit, Ill. and Robert of Onalaska; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret (Le Roy)Harnisch, Mrs. R.G. (Delores) Nicholson of La Crosse, and Mrs. Norman (Violet) Sterling of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Everett (Sharon) Waldenberger of Holmen; 29 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Ellsworth Schleifer, one grandson, Timothy Nicholson, three brothers and two sisters. SUBJECT: Raymond E.
