We realize that it is not a complete story of the village as that would require many volumes. It is our hope, however, that this compilation will give an adequate overview of the events and people that have made Blanchardville what it is today. It is evident to all who read this book that its value largely rests upon the contributions given to us by interested people. For their cordial aid and for their valuable suggestions we return sincere thanks. Mrs. Bernardine Schuler has been the chairperson in charge of this project. The club wishes to express a special thanks to May Schiesser, who has spent countless hours researching, writing, and coordinating information with Mrs. Schuler. We hope that you, the reader, will truly enjoy the fruits of the labors of many.
