Her last days were days of suffering to the body but peace to the soul. When asked by a friend the day before she died how she felt she said that all was well. But she could not talk. When she was visited by the pastor, W. S. Waters, a few weeks before her death she asked him to bury her, and requested him to preach to the living and not to the dead. With the help of God he did preach to the living from the words, “Be ye also ready.” He was helped wonderfully by the Holy Spirit. The remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of friends and neighbors. Ten children, all grown, are left to mourn the loss of a mother. May God’s blessing rest upon each and all of them, and may they remember the words of the text: “Be ye also ready.” Submitted by a friend.
