IS DEAD AS A RESULT OF LETTING A LOADED GUN FALL George Hubatch, Jr., son of George Hubatch, Sr., of the town of Rolling, happy in having attained his sixteenth birthday and heedless of the request of his mother that he not go hunting until after he had his supper, shouldered his gun about five o'clock yesterday afternoon and started for the woods with a boy friend. He had been gone but a short time when his friend chased up a rabbit. George, who was standing on a three foot stump, dropped his loaded gun in the excitement of the moment. The hammer appears to have caught on the stump for the gun was discharged, the load entering his left side and entering his heart, lungs and intestines. Near neighbors were soon made aware of what had happened and hastened to the rescue. The unfortunate boy was borne to his home on an old bed spring from an abandoned logging camp and a physician called to attend him. The wounds were mortal, however, and nothing could be done to save the boy's life. He survived the accident for three hours, was conscious to the last, and seemed to suffer very little pain. George Hubatch, Jr., leaves to mourn his loss two brothers and six sisters besides his stricken parents. His death is the eighth in a family of sixteen. Funeral services will be held at St. John's church at nine o'clock tomorrow morning.
